With a nod to Jeremy Klein, the WKND boys hit the road Hook Ups style and put together a launch-ramp-infused tour, complete with a box for the top of the van and Willy Santos in tow. It’s called skateboarding. It’s supposed to be fun.

The WKND crew took a U-Haul full of ramps to the desert and things got weird. They may not have located Animal Chin but they found Josh Beagle so we’d call it a unanimous success. Warning: there will be nudity.

Salomon Cardenas came through with two minutes of heat in his Awake part for Venture.

This is pure cinematic gold. Welcome to the team, kid.

This part has all the first-rate production you’d expect from a WKND video. It doesn’t hurt that Salomon is one helluva skateboarder, seeking out the SoCal spots you don’t see in every other vid. Welcome to the team, dude. You’re damn good.

Salomon talks about having his life saved by Fabrizio, getting punked by Kerry Getz, being a cabana boy for rich retirees, losing part of his testicle (!!!) and much more.

At this point, no need to sell you on the many strong points of a WKND video. We know that you know that these guys know how to make a top-notch edit, you know?

WKND skateboards set out to the beautiful Hawaiian island of Oahu to test out some new Nike flippers they made. They may have been going out there for some shoes, but they returned with a new wisdom gained from those ancient islands. —Grant Yansura
